The WTO Agricultural Agreement – framework for trade
The WTO’s Agricultural Agreement constitutes the international framework for agricultural policy and for the trade in agricultural products. It entered into force in 1995 and will remain in force until replaced by a new agreement. Such a new agreement is presently negotiated on within the framework of the Doha Round WTO-DDA. The goal of the negotiations in the agricultural sector is the reduction of distortion /trade barriers, trade-distorting subsidies) and the gradual opening of the market within the framework of international agricultural trade. > more about: The WTO Agricultural Agreement – framework for trade
